Abstract of the Will of John Vaughan of Penmaen Dovey in the Parish of Towyn and County of Merioneth, Gentleman, written 14 Oct 1727, proved 16 May 1729. 4
Gives & devises all his messuages, lands & tenements in the parish of Pennal in the county of Merioneth to his nephew Maurice Parry and his heirs upon Trust, such that after his death, Maurice sells them and divides the proceeds between his daughters Anne Owen the wife of Lewis Owen of Hafod Towill Gent., Elizabeth Vaughan & Jane Vaughan, spinsters.
Names his son Lewis Vaughan.
Gives & bequeaths to his said daughter Elizabeth Vaughan his silver tankard, the best bed in the hall chamber, a ---?--- press, a large box and a deale box being in the press chamber.
Gives & bequeaths to his said daughter Jane Vaughan his large silver tumbler and large deale box in the cross chamber.
Gives & bequeaths £5 to his servant Evan Thomas.
All the rest & residue of his personal estate his gives to his said daughters Ann Owen, Elizabeth Vaughan & Jane Vaughan share and share alike.
