Abstract of the Will of John Poole of Dolgelley, Apothecary, written 28 Mar 1769, proved 26 Jun 1769.
Directs that his body be buried in the churchyard of Llanbedr.
Leaves & bequeaths to Catherine his wife all the household furniture as she was possessed of at the time of their marriage, as well as £200, the interest on it to commence immediately after his decease, provided that £100 thereof become the property of her orphan grandson Griffith Jones after her decease.
Leaves & bequeaths £100 to his two natural sons Evan and Thomas Jones to be divided between them share and share alike.
Leaves & bequeaths £60 to Elizabeth the eldest daughter of his cousin John Vaughan of Penmaen Dovey.
Leaves & bequeaths £40 to the youngest daughter of his said cousin John Vaughan.
Leaves & bequeaths £100 to his nephew Hugh Poole clerk.
Leaves & bequeaths £100 to Mary the eldest daughter of his nephew Richard Poole.
Leaves & bequeaths £100 to Anne the second daughter of his said nephew Richard Poole.
All the remainder and residue of his personal estate, after his funerary expenses and legal fees are paid, he leaves & bequeaths equally between his brother Anthony Poole clerk and his nephew Anthony Poole of Newtown apothecary, share and share alike, hereby nominating and appointing the said Anthony Poole the elder and Anthony Poole the younger joint executors of his last will and testament.
