At the time of the 1871 Census Harriett Burrell, age 26, born in Bexhill, and husband Wm Burrell, age 25, born in Hastings, poulterer employing 3 men, 3 boys and 1 female, were living at 19 Robertson's St., Holy Trinity Hastings Sussex. With them was daughter Harriett (15 mo) of Holy Trinity Hastings.

At the time of the 1881 Census Harriett Burrell, age 36, born in Bexhill, widow, annuitant, and daughters (born in Hastings) Harriett A Burrell (11), scholar, and Annie (9), scholar, were with Harriett's sister Eliza Crowhurst, school mistress, was in Sidley Schools, Bexhill.
