At the time of the 1871 Census Wm Burrell, age 25, born in Hastings, poulterer employing 3 men, 3 boys and 1 female, and wife Harriett Burrell, age 26, born in Bexhill, were living at 19 Robertson's St., Holy Trinity Hastings Sussex. With them was daughter Harriett (15 mo) of Holy Trinity Hastings.

THE BANKRUPTCY ACT, 1869.
In the County Court of Sussex, holden at Hastings
WILLIAM BURRELL, the Younger, of No. 19, Robertson Street, Hastings, in the County of Sussex, Grocer and Poulterer, was adjudged a Bankrupt on the 22nd day of JUNE, 1871.
The first meeting of creditors will held at the Offices of this Court, Bank Buildings, Hastings, on the 11th day of JULY, 1871, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Until the appointment of a Trustee, all persons having in their possession any of the effects of the bankrupt, must deliver them, and all debts due to the bankrupt must be paid to the Registrar. Creditors must forward their proof of debts to the Registrar.
