In 1792 Ann Smith was bequeathed £50 from the Will of her late uncle William Sinnock of Bexhill, yeoman.
In 1802 Ann the wife of William Relf of Hastings, miller, was a beneficiary of the Will of her late brother John Smith of Bexhill, yeoman.
Writing his Will in Aug 1819 Smith Crouch* of Hastings, gentleman, made bequests to 'all and every the children and child of William Relf late of Hastings ... miller by his present wife who before her marriage was Ann Smith spinster...'
* Smith Crouch (b. 1778 in Hastings) was Ann's first cousin, the son of Lovell Crouch and Ann's aunt Sarah Crouch (née Smith).
At the time of the 1841 England Census Ann Relf, aged about 75, and husband Wm Relf, aged about 75, baker, were living in All Saints Street, All Saints, Hastings Sussex.
