In 1818 Samuel Roods 'the Younger,' farmer, was the sole executor of the Will of his uncle Jesse Piper of Pevensey, looker, being paid £5 for his efforts.
In 1819 Samuel Roods was bequeathed £500 from the Will of his brother Henry Crowhurst Roods of Westham, gentleman.
In 1821 Samuel Roods was the surviving executor of his father's Will.
In Jan 1836 Samuel Roods was a witness at the marriage of his niece Maria Roods to David Matthews in Hastings Sussex.
At the time of the 1851 England Census Samuel Roods, age 63, born in Westham, unmarried, farmer of 35 acres employing 2 labourers, was living in Hankham Street Westham Sussex. With him was sister Harriet Roods (55) of Westham, unmarried.

Gives, devises and bequeaths to his sisters Elizabeth Roods and Harriett Roods all his messuages, buildings, lands, tenements, hereditaments and real estate, along with the rest, residue and remainder of his goods, chattels, effects, monies, securities for monies, rights, credits and personal estate, for the term of their natural lives. And after they have deceased he gives, devises and bequeaths the same to his nephews Henry Crowhurst Roods and William Edward Roods as trustees, to sell and divide the profits between the children of his late brother Henry Crowhurst Roods deceased.
Appoints his said nephews Henry Crowhurst Roods and William Edward Roods co-executors of his last will and testament.
