At the time of the 1861 England Census Emily Child, age 31, born in Mellingly [Hellingly] Sussex, and husband George Child, age 30, born in Stockwell Surrey, carpenter, were living in Chigwell Essex. With them was daughter Emily Jane (11 months) of Chigwell.
At the time of the 1871 England Census Emily Child, age 41, born in Hellingly Sussex, and husband George Child, age 39, born in Stockwell Surrey, carpenter, were living at 3 Clarence Cottages, St. Lawrence Kent.
