Abstract of the Will of John Kempthorne of the Parish of Manaccan in the County of Cornwall, Gentleman, written 4 Jun 1838, proved 10 Dec 1840. 3

Gives an annuity of £25 to his wife Susanna Kempthorne for the term of her natural life, payable out of his freehold estate called Polhormon in the parish of Mullion in co. Cornwall. Also gives to his said wife all his household goods and furniture. After the decease of his wife he gives the said annuity of £25 to his son John Buckingham Kempthorne.

Gives an annuity of £20 to his daughter Susan Worth Kempthorne for the term of her natural life, payable out of the same freehold estate. Before she turns twenty-one the said annuity shall be received for her use by his trustees.

Gives to his trustees all his leasehold houses and lands in the borough of Penryn, in trust, for the benefit of his said daughter Susan Worth Kempthorne.

The remainder of his freehold estate commonly called Polhormon he gives to his son John Buckingham Kempthorne and his heirs.

Gives all his freehold estate as described, together with his goods, chattels and effects, to his friends Thomas Warren Kempthorne* and Samuel Vernon Kempthorne*, upon trust, for the benefit of his said children.

Appoints his trustees executors of his last will and testament.

Nominates his wife Susanna Kempthorne guardian of his son and daughter.
