In 1840 Susanna Kempthorne was a beneficiary of her husband's will, receiving an annuity of £25 for the term of her natural life.

In 1851 Susanna Kempthorne, aged 56, born in Manaccan Cornwall, widow, landed proprietor, was living in Meneage Street, Helston, Cornwall. With her was daughter Susanna (18) of Manaccan.

In 1861 Susanna Kempthorne, aged 66, born in Manaccan, widow, plain sewer & worsted knitter, was living in Church Village, Mullion, Cornwall.
