In 1851 Elizabeth Moore, aged 14, born in Redruth, was at home in Hill, Redruth, Cornwall, with her parents James Moore (43), sawyer, and Elizabeth (37), both born in Redruth.

In 1901 Elizabeth Marks, aged 65, born in Redruth, and husband William F. Marks, aged 64, born in Gwithian, farmer, were living at Sparnon's Gate Redruth with children (born in Redruth): Thomas (33), farmer's son, James (29), brewery storeman, Alfred (26), brewery storeman, Ellen (22).

In July 1905 Elizabeth Marks, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's personal effects.

In 1911 Elizabeth Marks, aged 74, born in Plainquarry Redruth Cornwall, widow (mother of 8 children, 3 deceased) was living at no. 2 Trileigh Terrace, Redruth. With her was granddaughter Evelyn Dyer (18) of Tolgus nr Redruth, dressmaker in drapery shop.

In 1921 Elizabeth Marks, aged 86 years, born in Redruth Cornwall, widow, home duties, was living in Treleigh Terrace, Redruth, Cornwall.

Elizabeth Marks of Treleigh Terrace died aged 92 years (burial record). Elizabeth's age appears to have been overstated by a year or two. Either Elizabeth's age was consistently understated in the censuses or the informant on her death was for whatever reason mistaken.

REDRUTH NONAGENERIAN'S DEATH

The death of Mrs. Marks took place on Saturday at her residence, Treleigh Terrace, Redruth. Deceased had reached the ripe old age of 92 years. For many years she was connected with the North Country Primitive Methodist Chapel and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her.

The funeral took place on Tuesday at the Redruth Parish Church, the Rev. H. W. Sedgwick officiating. The mourners and friends present were Mr. A. Marks (son), Mesdames Dyer and Symons (daughters), Messrs. W. J. Dyer and A. Symons (sons-in-law), Mrs. F. Lenten (granddaughter), Mrs. Cock (niece), Mr. W. Moore (nephew), Miss G. Lawrence, Messrs. F. Evans, W. ----shop, W. Liddicoat, R. Hocking, A. S. Symons, F. Symons, A. G. Browning, and J. Harris....

The coffin was of unpolished oak with brass mounts and the engraved plate bore the inscription, "Elizabeth Marks, died 7th February, 1925, aged 92 years." ....

Elizabeth married William Francis Marks, son of William Marks of Connor Downs and Lavinia Glasson, on 28 Jun 1862 in Redruth, Cornwall. (William Francis Marks was born about 1838 in Gwinear, Cornwall, christened 28 Jan 1838 in Gwinear, Cornwall and died on 3 May 1905 in Tolgus, Redruth, Cornwall, aged 67 years.)
