MINERS' PHTHISIS.—Another victim to miners' phthisis passed away on Friday last in the person of Mr. James Marks, of Tolgus. Deceased, who was 35 years of age, had worked the rock drills in South Africa ; but was in good health when he returned home two years ago. His father's sudden death, however, affected his health, and rapidly sinking, his life was despaired of some time ago. Deceased, who was unmarried, resided with his widowed mother, who thus loses the third of her five sons through miners' phthisis.
