Obituary

" THE LATE MRS. MARY HANNAH BLIGHT.

Mrs. Mary Hannah Blight, whe passed away on April 1st, was the widow of the late Mr. William Henry Blight, a well-known resident of Clare for many years. Mrs. Blight (nee Dunstone) was born at Spring Farm, near Clare, in the house that is now occupied by Mr. Mattner, on 29th March, 1855. Her parents came from Cornwall in the sailing ship, 'Lady Bruce,' in 1846. On January 24, 1884, she married Mr. W. H. Blight, who was also born at Spring Farm. They lived in Clare for many years, Mr. Blight carrying on a bakery business, which had been established by his father before him. They had five children — One daughter (Doris) died in childhood, one son (Edgar) died in Keswick Hospital in January, 1936. Surviving children are one son (John) Colonel Light Gardens, and two daughters (Misses Lily and Linda), while there are five gfrand-children. The late Mr. W. H. Blight was a councillor in the Clare Corporation for many years, and did good service in that position. He was also a Justice of the Peace. Both were life-long members of the Methodist Church, first at Spring Farm, and afterwards at Clare. Mrs. Blight was the last member of the Dunstone family, and both she and her husband spent all their married life in Clare. Mr Blight was an official of the Methodist Church in various capacities until he died in January, 1934." 6

"On the 12th January, at the residence of the bride's mother, by the Rev. C. Lane, William Henry, eldest son of Mr. William Blight, Clare, to Mary Hannah, youngest daughter of the late Mr. John Dunstone, of Trevenson, near Clare."
