Eldest son and heir, named in his father's Will (written 1814), in regard to an Indenture (viz. marriage settlement) between his father, himself, Margaret Jones of the Parish of Llanelltyd in county Merioneth, widow and her daughter Elizabeth Williams of Llanelltyd, spinster.

Named as a beneficiary in the Will of his maternal grandfather Ellis Jones of Bryn Gwynn, Gent. (written 1775).

Named in the Will of his mother-in-law Margaret Jones of Tŷ Newydd, widow, as husband of her daughter Elizabeth Williams (written 1789).

Abstract of the Will of John Evans of Werngron in the Parish of Llanbedr in the County of Merioneth, Gentleman, written 4 Jul 1825, inventory taken 5 Oct 1827, proved 21 Nov 1827, probate granted 7 Apr 1828.

Gives and devises all his messuages or dwelling houses, tan house, yard and garden with the furniture and other fixtures with the appurtenances in the town of Pwllheli in county Carnarvon, now or lately occupied by his son Evan Evans, to his sons William Evans and Ellis Evans as tenants in common and not joint tenants.

Refers to his marriage settlement dated 8 Jul 1781 wherein he is invested with a power to charge his estate called Blaiddbwll in county Merioneth with the payment of £90 as follows:

- £20 to his daughter Margaret Parry the wife of William Parry of Cilbronrhydd, Gentleman, for her sole & separate use

- £20 to his son William Evans

- £30 to his son Ellis Evans

- £20 to his son John Evans

Gives and bequeaths £500 in Trust to his friend John Evans of Tyn y Coed in county Carnarvon, Gentleman, his executors, administrators and assigns, to invest in Government or other security or securities and pay the interest to his said son John Evans and his assigns during the term of his natural life, and upon his decease to pay the principal money and interest to the children of his said son John Evans.

Gives and bequeaths £250 to his grandson John Evans and the interest thereof secured by mortgage of his late father David Evans's property in Pwllheli aforesaid.

Gives and bequeaths £300 to his grandson David Evans son of his said son David Evans.

Gives and bequeaths £300 to his said son Ellis Evans.

Gives and bequeaths £300 to his said son Evan Evans.

All the rest, residue & remainder of his personal estate he gives & bequeaths to his said children William Evans, Ellis Evans and Margaret Parry in equal shares.

Nominates, constitutes and appoints the above William, Ellis & Margaret the sole Executors of his last will and testament.
