Abstract of the Will of Evan Evans late of Bleuddbwll in the County of Merioneth but now of Pwllheli in the County of Carnarvon, Gentleman, written 1 Apr 1814, inventory taken 15 Jan 1820, proved 18 Mar 1820, probate granted 2 May 1820.
Refers to an Indenture dated 30 Dec 1708* [sic] made between himself Evan Evans of Bleuddbwll in the Parish of Llanbeder in the County of Merioneth, Gentleman, and John Evans of the same place, Gentleman, his eldest son and heir apparent - of the first part; Margaret Jones of Voelisbrin in the Parish of Llanelltyd in county Merioneth, widow - of the second part; and Elizabeth Williams of Voelisbrin, spinster, daughter of the said Margaret Jones - of the third part; in which he has a power reserved to charge all and any part of his messuages, tenements & lands named in the Indenture to a value not exceeding £90 to the payment of his debts and the provision of his younger children by his late wife Gwen deceased.
Gives and bequeaths £60 to his second son David Evans, Clerk, Vicar of Abererch in county Carnarvon.
Gives and bequeaths £30 to his daughter Jane wife of Hugh Jones late of Borthwen in county Merioneth, yeoman.
Gives and bequeaths £10 to his eldest son John Evans.
Gives and bequeaths £5 to the churchwardens of the Parish of Llanbeder in county Merioneth.
All the rest and residue of his personal estate he gives and bequeaths to his wife Ellinor whom he constitutes and appoints sole Executrice of his last will and testament.
