Robert de Muscegros has made fine with the king by 300 marks for having his benevolence and a release from the excess that he made towards him in that he took to wife Helewise who was the wife of Hugh Poinz , who was of the king’s gift, without the king’s licence, so that Robert is to render 200 marks of that fine at the below-written terms, namely 50 marks at Easter next forthcoming in the fifth year, 50 marks at St. John the Baptist in the same year, 50 marks at Michaelmas in the same year, and 50 marks at Hilary next following in the sixth year, and he is to render the rest of the same fine, namely 100 marks, at the aforesaid terms in the sixth year. Order that, having taken security from Robert for rendering the aforesaid 300 marks to the king, as aforesaid, he is to cause him to have full seisin without delay of all lands, fees and tenements of Helewise in his bailiwick, and once he has taken that security he is to cause the sheriffs of Kent and Suffolk to know, by his letters, whom the king has signified by his letters that they are to cause Robert to have full seisin of all lands of Helewise in their bailiwicks when it is established by his letters that he has accepted the aforesaid security from Robert for the aforesaid fine.
