At the time of the 1891 England Census Mabel Page, aged 18, born in Cardiff, single, living on her own means, was visiting Jane P Lloyd and her family at 3 St. Michael's Place, St. Michaels, Aberystwyth.
At the time of the 1901 England Census Mabel Geard, aged 29, born in Cardiff Glamorgan, and husband Sydney Geard, aged 26*, born in Montacute Somerset, mason, were living at 100 Glenroy St., Roath Glamorgan. With them was daughter Marjorie (5) of Cardiff.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Mabel Geard, aged 39, born in Cardiff Glamorgan (mother of 1 child), and husband of 15 years Sydney Geard, aged 46, born in Montacute Somerset, stone mason, were living at 189 Arabella St., Roath Glamorgan. With them was daughter Marjorie (15) of Cardiff.
In the 1939 Register Mabel A Geard (b. 30 Dec 1872), unpaid domestic duties, and husband Sydney E Geard (b. 9 Feb 1865), smallholder (retired), were living at 134 Kimberley Road, Cardiff, Glamorgan. At the same address was [daughter] Marjorie M Geard (b. 31 Mar 1896), elementary school teacher.
In November 1951 Mabel Ada Geard, widow, was granted Probate of the personal effects of her late daughter Marjorie Margaret Geard, spinster.

GEARD.—On Jan. 10, at 132, Kimberley-rd, Mabel Ada Geard wife of the late Sidney. Funeral service Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church. Interment following at Cardiff (Cathays) Cemetery.
