In 1783 Sarah the wife of John Blackman received £20 from the Will of her 'father-in-law' James Bellingham of Hooe, Gent. James Bellingham was the second husband of Sarah's mother Sarah, her father John Gilbert having died in 1744.
On 21 Feb 1789 Sarah Blackman, widow and relict of John Blackman of Warbleton, yeoman, was granted Administration of her husband's personal effects.
