In 1724 Cornelius Gillmore alias Woolley was named in the Will of his great-uncle John Short of Wootton Bassett, yeoman, who bequeathed to Cornelius his freehold lands in Hayden in the parish of Rodbourne Cheney in co. Wilts., to be held in trust by Cornelius' father until he reaches the age of twenty-one years.
In 1743 Cornelius Woolley als. Gillmore was co-executor of his father's Will, receiving his father's tenement with the stables and other appurtenances, formerly the property of John Short deceased.
In April 1744 Cornelius Woolley provided surety for the marriage of his sister Elizabeth Woolley to Joshua Ralph in Wootton Bassett.

Gives, devises and bequeaths to his wife Anne Woolley his tenement, stable and garden in Wootton Bassett for the term of her natural life or so long as she remains a widow. After her death or remarriage he gives and bequeaths the same to his children and their heirs as tenants in common but not joint tenants.
Gives, devises and bequeaths to his brother-in-law Thomas Miles his leasehold estate in Midgehale in the parish of Lydiard Tregoze in co. Wilts, in trust, to pay the proceeds from the profits to his wife according to the same terms and for the maintenance and education of his children.
Appoints his wife Anne Woolley sole executrix of his last will and testament.

Cornelius married Anne Newell, daughter of John Newell of Wootton Bassett and Mary Cripps, on 20 Aug 1748 in Abbey of St. Peter & St. Paul, Bath, Somerset, England. (Anne Newell was christened 14 Nov 1722 in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England and was buried there on 17 Apr 1786.)
