At the time of the 1911 England Census Alfred Stevens, age 55, born in West Firle Sussex, corporation carter, and wife of 30 years Jane, age 50, born in Cobben Kent (mother of 11 children, 1 deceased), charwoman, were living at 45 South View Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. OBITUARY
Mr. A. Stevens
The funeral took place recently of Mr. Alfred ("Bob") Stevens, of 45, South View-road, who died at the age of 87. The chief mourners were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stevens, Mr. W. Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens, Mrs. Batchelor, Kate and Kit, Mr. and Mrs. Funnell, Mr. E. Batchelor, Mr. Ted Batchelor, Miss Dorothy Jeffery, Miss Peggy Churcher, Miss Sybil Batchelor and Mr. Douglas Funnell. Mrs. Rose Jeffery was unable to attend owing to illness.
