In Aug 1835 Mercy Vinall and her husband George Vinall were present at the marriage of Mercy's widowed sister Ann Budgen to John Burrough Copley in New Shoreham Sussex.
At the time of the 1851 England Census Mercy Harvey, age 42, born in Firle, grocer's shop, and husband Nelson Harvey, age 44, born in Rye, master mariner, were living in High Street, New Shoreham. With them were (a) Nelson's children (born in Rye): Elizabeth Harvey (16), assistant, Sarah Harvey (11), schooler, and (b) Mercy's children (born in New Shoreham): Caroline Vinall (18), assistant, Harriet Vinall (16), assistant, Ellen Vinall (12), schooler.
In 1853 Mercy the wife of [blank] Harvey of New Shoreham was bequeathed £120 from her late father's Will.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Mercy Harvey, age 62, born in West Firle, and husband Richard N Harvey, age 64, born in Rye, shipping agent, asthmatic, were living at 3 Clarence Place, New Shoreham.
At the time of the 1881 England Census Mercy Harvey, age 72, born in West Firle, and husband R N Harvey, age 74, ship agent, were living in Clarence Place, New Shoreham. With them was granddaughter Harriet Marsh (16) of Portsmouth Hants, dressmaker.
