Abstract of the Will of Matthew Vivian of the Parish of Redruth in the County of Cornwall, written 10 Oct 1788, proved 3 Aug 1814. 3

Gives his wife an annuity of £80 during her natural life, payable out of his leasehold estates in the parish of Kea in co. Cornwall.

Gives to his executor all his fee simple estate, in trust, for the benefit of his son John.

Gives to his children £500 each, to be paid to them by his executor when they turn twenty-one.

Gives £20 to his wife.

All the rest of his estate and effects he gives to his brother John Vivian whom he appoints executor and trustee of his will.

On 3 Aug 1814 Administration (with the will annexed) of the goods of Matthew Vivian, formerly of Redruth but late of Rosewarne in the parish of Camborne in co. Cornwall, Esq., deceased, was granted to John Ennis Vivian, Esq., the son and residuary legatee named in the said will, he having reached the age of twenty one years, John Vivian, Esq. the brother, sole executor and residuary legatee in trust during the minority of the said John Ennis Vivian, having first renounced.

Matthew married Mary Ennis, daughter of Thomas Ennis of Redruth, Gent. and Mary Williams, on 7 Dec 1784 in Redruth, Cornwall. (Mary Ennis was christened 19 Jul 1762 in Redruth, Cornwall, and died on 28 Oct 1850 at Lemon St., Kenwyn, Cornwall, aged 88 years.)
