In 1851 Charles G. A Vivian, aged 18, born in Wellingborough Northamptonshire, was with his widowed mother in Hatton, Tormoham, Devon.
In 1861 Charles A Vivian, aged 28, born in Wellington Northamptonshire, South Western Railway Service, and wife Alice M Vivian, aged 26, born in Scotland, were in Washington Terrace, Southampton St. Mary, Hampshire. With them was son Lionel C. C. (1) of Warminster Wilts.
In 1871 Charles George Vivian, aged 36, born in Wellingboro Northants, tithe property, and wife Alice Maud, aged 36, born in Scotland, were at 6 Alexandra Road, Beford St. Paul, Bedfordshire. With them were sons Lionel Charles Claude (11) of Warminster Wilts, scholar, Wilfrice [Wilfred] (9) of Northampton, and Cecil (8) of Pool Dorset.

The Will with three codicils of Charles George Aylmer Vivian formerly of Havelet in the Island of Guernsey but late of Fairholme Belmont-road Portswood in the county of Southampton, esquire, who died 8 September 1887 at Fairholme, was proved 21 October at the Principal Registry by Charles Murray Wilkins of 19 King's-Arms-yard in the City of London, solicitor, one of the executors.
