  Research Notes:

In 1807 William Richards was co-executor of his father's will.

In 1817 William Richards was co-executor of the will of his father-in-law Richard Hockin of Tregajorran.

In June 1834 Wm. Richards was present at the marriage of his son William Joseph Richards to Maria Knight Retallack in Illogan, Cornwall.

In November 1847 William Richards was granted Administration of the goods &c of his late son Charles Hockin Richards, merchant.

In 1851 William Richards, aged 64, born in Redruth Cornwall, widower, mine agent farming 4 acres employing 2 men & 1 boy, was living in Bank House, Fore Street, Redruth. With him was granddaughter Elizabeth Teague Richards (18) of Redruth.

In 1861 William Richards, aged 74, born in Redruth, widower, mine agent, was living in West End Bank, Redruth.

The Will with two codicils of William Richards late of Redruth in the county of Cornwall, gentleman, deceased, who died 16 May 1864 at Redruth aforesaid, was proved 1 June at Bodmin by the oaths of William Harris of Pool in the said county, merchant, Thomas Richards of Camborne in the said county, mine agent, the son, and Mary Hockin Dean (wife of James Dean, merchant) of Liverpool in the county of Lancaster, the granddaughter, the executors. Effects under £3,000. 3

William married Mary Hockin, daughter of Richard Hockin of Tregajorran and Mary Prust, on 12 May 1808 in Illogan, Cornwall. (Mary Hockin was born in 1787 in Illogan, Cornwall, christened 5 Jan 1788 in Illogan, Cornwall and was buried on 26 Sep 1827 in Redruth, Cornwall, aged 40 years.)
