In 1851 Jane Leggo, aged 45, born in Phillack Cornwall, and husband John Leggo, aged 56, born in Paul Cornwall, grocer, were living in Newbridge, Sancreed, Cornwall. With them were children (born in Sancreed) Emily (21), grocer's daughter, Mary J. (19), grocer's daughter, Ellen S. (8), grocer's daughter, mother-in-law Mary Leggo (88) of Sancreed, annuitant.

In 1861 Jane Leggo, aged 55, born in Phillack, and husband John Leggo, aged 67, born in Paul, retired grocer, were with their son William at 10 Fore St., Redruth, Cornwall.

In 1869 Jane Leggo, widow, was co-executor of her husband's will.

In 1871 Jane Leggo, aged 65, born in Phillack, annuitant, was with her son William Thomas Leggo and his family in Doppa? Row, Redruth, Cornwall.

In 1881 Jane Leggo, aged 72, born in Sancreed [sic], widow, was with her daughter Nellie Hall and her family in Tremethick, Madron.
