Will of William Lloyd of Barmouth, Gentleman, written 15 Aug 1832, proved 4 Nov 1847 5
This is the last Will and Testament of me William Lloyd of Barmouth in the County of Merioneth Gentleman.... in pursuance and in exercise of the power or authority to me given and limited in and by a certain Indenture of Release bearing date on or about the twenty eighth day of September one thousand eight hundred and ten and made between Catherine Ross? widow of the one part and I the said William Lloyd and John Griffith Mercer of the other part and of every other power or authority enabling me in this behalf first limit and appoint give and devise all that messuage or tenemens dwellinghouse and garden with the appurtenances situate... and being above the Quay in the Town of Barmouth in the Parish of Llanaber in the said County of Merioneth now in the occupation of Owen Griffith Weaver his undertenants or assigns unto my daughter Catherine Meredith her heirs and assigns for ever I give and bequeath the following legacies that is to say my said daughter Catherine Meredith the sum of six hundred pounds, to my grandson John the son of Evan Williams of Dolgelley in the said County of Merioneth Esquire by my daughter Elizabeth deceased the sum of one hundred pounds, to my grand daughter Catherine the daughter of the said Evan Williams by my said daughter Elizabeth the like sum of one hundred pounds and I direct my executor hereinafter named to pay the said sum of one hundred pounds unto my said grandson John Williams as and when he shall attain the age of twenty one years and the said sum of one hundred pounds unto my said grand daughter Catherine Williams as and when she shall attain the age of twenty one years or day of marriage provided and I declare that in case my said grandson John Williams shall die under the age of twenty one years and my said grand daughter Catherine Williams under the age of twenty one years and unmarried then I give and bequeath the legacy of him her or both of them so dying unto my son Evan Lloyd and as to the rest residue and remainder of all my personal estate monies goods chattels and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever the same may be or consist of (after the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary charges legacies and expenses) I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said son Evan Lloyd I nominate constitute and appoint the said Evan Lloyd sole Executor of this my last will and testament contained in this half sheet of paper set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two (1832)
