In 1850 Avice was a beneficiary of her father's will, receiving £60.

In 1851 Avis Pascoe, aged 40, born in Cury Cornwall, unmarried, house keeper, was with her brother-in-law John H. Bowden (43) of Marazion, widower, blacksmith, in Penpull Terrace, Phillack, Cornwall.

In 1861 Avis Bawden, aged 49, born in Cury Cornwall, and husband John H. Bawden, aged 53, born in Marazion Cornwall, blacksmith, were living in Penpol Terrace, Phillack Cornwall. With them were children (born in Phillack): Elizabeth P. (21), John H. (19), engine fitter, Eliza J. (16), draper's assistant, James K. (5), scholar, and Joseph W. (3).

In 1871 Avis Bawden, aged 59, born in Cury Cornwall, and husband John Bawden, aged 63, born in Marazion Cornwall, blacksmith at works, were living at 35 Penpoll Terrace, Phillack, Cornwall. With them were children (born in Phillack) Eliza A.* (25), draper's assistant, James K. (15), grocer's apprentice, and Joseph W. (13), pupil teacher.

* Should be Eliza J., daughter of John Bawden's first marriage to Avis' sister Elizabeth.

Avis married John Harris Bawden, son of James Bawden and Margaret Harris, on 24 Aug 1853 in St. Clement, Cornwall. (John Harris Bawden was christened 10 May 1807 in Marazion, Cornwall, died on 31 Mar 1879 in Phillack, Cornwall and was buried there on 4 Apr 1879, aged 71 years.)
