In 1828 John Curgenven was a beneficiary of his father's will, receiving his tenement called Trequite in the parish of St. Kew in co. Cornwall.
In 1841 John Curgenven, aged about 55, born in the county, farmer, and wife Jane Curgenven, aged about 50, born in the county, were living in Trequite, St. Kew, Cornwall. With them were children: Jane (20), James (12).
