  Research Notes:

In 1826 Edward Freeman and his elder brother Thomas, as principal legatees of their father's will, were granted Letters of Administration following the death of their mother, who had originally been appointed sole executrix.

In October 1832 Edwd. Freeman was present at the marriage of his sister Mary to Michael Caddy in Gunwalloe.

In 1837 Edward Freeman was a beneficiary and executor in trust of the will of his maternal grandmother Alice Stodden of Gunwalloe, widow.

In 1851 Edward Freeman, aged 45, born in Gunwalloe Cornwall, unmarried, farmer of 50 acres employing one labourer, was living in Chiverloe, Gunwalloe. Edward's brother Thomas and his family were living nextdoor.

In 1861 Edward Freeman, aged 55, born in Gunwalloe Cornwall, unmarried, farmer of 100 acres employing 3 men & 1 boy, was in Chiverloe, Gunwalloe. Brothers Thomas and James and their families were living nearby.

In 1871 Edward Freeman, aged 66, born in Gunwalloe Cornwall, unmarried, farmer of 100 acres employing 3 men & 2 boys, was in Chivarloe, Gunwalloe. One of his indoor farm servants was John Freeman (11) of Gunwalloe.

Edward Freeman of Barepper in Mawgan died aged 70 years. Died very suddenly on his way from Gunwalloe Church, Sunday noon 23 July 1876. (burial record)

Administration of the effects of Edward Freeman late of the parish of Mawgan in Meneage in the county of Cornwall, farmer, a bachelor, who died 23 July 1976 at Mawgan, was granted 9 August at Bodmin to John Freeman of the parish of Gunwalloe in the said county, labourer, the brother, and one of the next of kin. 2
