In 1851 Jane Carne, aged 27, born in St. Anne Cornwall, and husband John Carne, aged 27, born in St. Anne, were living in Fore Street, Tywardreath Cornwall. With them were sons (born in St. Anne) Thomas (8), scholar, and John (6), scholar.

In 1855 Jane the wife of John Carne was a beneficiary and co-executor of her father's will.

In 1861 Jane Carne, aged 37, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, and husband John Carne, aged 37, born in St. Agnes, miner, were living in Illogan Downs, Illogan Cornwall. With them was son Thomas Butson Carne (17) of St. Agnes, miner.
