In 1841 Isaac Butson, aged about 45, copper miner, and wife Ester Butson, aged about 50, were living in Hurling Burrow, St. Agnes Cornwall. With them were children Thomas (20), copper miner, Jane (18), and Isaac (15). Daughter Mary Moore and her family were nextdoor.
In 1851 Isaac Butson, aged 57, farmer 13 acres, and wife Easter Butson, aged 66, were living in Hurling Burrow, St. Agnes. With them were granddaughter Mary B. More (2) of Illogan, and lodger Joseph Paul* (23) of St. Agnes.

Abstract of the Will of Isaac Butson of the Parish of St. Agnes in the County of Cornwall, Miner, written 31 Aug 1854, proved 16 Mar 1855.
Gives, devises and bequeaths his estate and effects both real and personal to his son Isaac Butson the younger and to his daughter Jane the wife of John Carne. Wills that if his said daughter Jane Carne should die without leaving a will, then her portion will go to her son Thomas Butson Carne.
Gives £10 to his granddaughter Mary Butson Moore daughter of William Moore.
Gives £2 to his granddaughter Elizabeth Jane Moore daughter of the said William Moore.
Gives £5 to his sister Elizabeth Varcoe the wife of Charles Varcoe.
Appoints his son Isaac Butson and his daughter Jane Carne co-executors of his last will and testament.
