In 1778 Johnson Tippet was named as a beneficiary in the will of his uncle James Vivian, to receive £100 when he turns twenty-one.
In 1801 Johnwas was living at Blaen in the Neath Valley in Glamorgan Wales. In 1816 he was living at Trenchard Street, in Bristol, Gloucestershire. (Research, Colin Paul)

Johnson Tippett of Trenchard St. died aged 44 years (burial record).

Tuesday night Mr. Tippett, belonging to the Excise of this Port, fell into the float, nearly opposite the Artichoke Tavern, St. Augustine's Back ; he was taken out within 10 minutes, but every means to restore life proved in vain. He has left a wife and three children.
