At the time of the 1891 Scotland Census Elisabeth Thomson, aged 20, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, was working as a general domestic servant for John Gray, farmer & vet surgeon in Tongue, Tarbolton.
At the time of the 1901 Scotland Census Elizabeth Gilfillan, aged 30, born in Craigie Ayrshire [sic], and husband Robert Gilfillan, aged 30, born in Kilmaurs, dairy man, were living in Disdow Dairy, Girthon, Kirkcudbrightshire. Present were daughters: Agnes (1) of Tongueland [Tongland], Kirkcudbright, and Mary (2 months) of Girthon.
