In 1838 Humphrey Evans of Cefn Cymmera Uchâ was one of those who paid bond of £200 for Administration of the personal estate of his brother-in-law Owen Davies Owen late of Shrewsburys Salop. Admon was granted to his sister Jane Evans Wynne on 25 Sep 1838.

In 1841 Humphrey Evans, aged about 55, farmer, was in Cefncymera Uchaf Llanbedr. Present was [son] Francis Evans, aged about 20. [Per the 1851 Census, it would appear Humphrey and his son Francis were visiting their home village in Llanbedr.]

In 1851 Humphrey Evans (67) of Llanbad [Llanbedr] Merionethshire, farmer of 200 acres employing 6 labourers, and wife Lowra (68) of Llanfihangelytraidau [Llanfihangel y Traethau] Merionethshire, were living in Maesog, Clynnog, Caernarvonshire. Present were sons (born in Llanbad): Evan Wynne (35), unmarried, Francis (33), married, daughter-in-law Ellin (30) of Clynnog Carnarvon, grandson George Williams (11) of Llanbad Merioneth, scholar

In 1871 Humphrey Evans (87) of Llanbedr Merionethshire, widower, farmer of 246 acres, was living in Maesog, Clynnog, Caernarvonshire. Present was son Francis (54) of Llanbedr and his wife Ellin (53) of Clynnog.
