Francis and his wife Ellin appear with Francis's father up until the 1871 Census.

In 1881 Francis Evans (63) of Llanbedr Merioneth, small farm, independent, and wife Ellen (64) of Clynnog Carnarvon were living in Llety Clynnog. Present was brother Evan Wynne (66) of Llanbedr, widower, independent.

On 12 Feb 1884 Francis Evans of Lletty was granted Administration of the personal estate of his brother Evan Wynne of Lletty.

In 1891 Francis Evans (73) of Llanbedr, widower, living on his own means, was with his nephew George W. Williams and his family in Mill St., Dolgelly, Merioneth.
