In 1838 John Taylor received £280 from his father's Will.

At the time of the 1841 Census, John Taylor, aged about 55, was living in the parish of Tresmeer and working as an agricultural labourer.

In 1843 John Taylor received £60 from the Will of his late brother William Taylor of Tremaine.
