In 1838 Ann Painter was a beneficiary of her father's Will, receiving £30.

In 1841 Ann Painter, aged about 55, born in Cornwall, and husband Richard Painter, aged about 60, born in Cornwall, painter, were living in Lezant Cornwall. With them were sons Richard (20), William (20) and Barnard (15).

In 1851 Ann Painter, aged 65, born in Egloskerry Cornwall, widow, farmer of 80 acres, was living in Curvoda Farm, Lezant Cornwall. With her were son Barnard (24) of Otteram Cornwall, farmer's son, and nieces Mary Davy (28) of Launceston, and Maria Davy (5) of Lezant.

In 1861 Ann Paynter, aged 76, born in Egloskerry Cornwall, widow, formerly farmer's wife, was with her son Barnard and his family in Curvoda Green, Lezant Cornwall.

The Will of Ann Paynter late of the parish of Lezant in the county of Cornwall, widow, deceased, who died 13 May 1868 at Lezant aforesaid, was proved 18 June at Bodmin by the oath of Barnard Paynter of Lezant aforesaid, yeoman, the son, the sole executor. Effects under £200. 2

Ann married Richard Gubbins Paynter, son of Barnard Paynter and Sarah Gubbins, on 26 Dec 1809 in Egloskerry, Cornwall. (Richard Gubbins Paynter was christened 19 Dec 1779 in Boyton, Cornwall and was buried on 9 Jan 1850 in Lezant, Cornwall, aged 70 years.)
