Gives to his wife Grace an annuity of £6 during her widowhood, as well as 40 shillings, his best bedstead, bed, warming pan, an iron pot, an iron kettle, a brass skillet, three pewter dishes, six pewter plates, a side sadle, his largest round tableboard and two chairs.
Gives £50 to his daughter Mary Bate, to be paid to her when she reaches the age of twenty-one years.
Gives £50 to his daughter Anne Bate, to be paid to her when she reaches the age of twenty-one years.
Gives, devises & bequeaths to his son William Bate an inheritance in fee simple of a tenement in Church Town Tresmeer, along with remainders of tenements known variously as Jewels, Wadland and Badgall in the parish of Laneast, conditional that William pays his mother Grace £2 annually during her widowhood.
Gives, devises & bequeaths to his son John Bate an inheritance in fee simple of a tenement in Egloskerry called Taborrow [Treborrow], conditional that John pays his mother Grace £4 annually during her widowhood.
All the rest of his goods and chattels he gives to his son John Bates whom he appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.
