In 1861 Willm Cowlin, aged 51, born in Perranzabuloe, grocer, and wife Eleanor Cowlin, aged 45, born in Illogan, were living in Bray, Camborne. With them were children Ann (19) of Illogan, Richard (8) of Camborne, daughter Elizabeth (26) of St. Keverne, unmarried, house servt.
In 1871 William Cowlin, aged 61, born in Perranzabuloe, grocer, and wife Eleanor Cowlin, aged 54, born in Illogan, were living in Brea, Camborne. With them was son Richd. (18) of Camborne.

A FRIEND'S FUNERAL.—The funeral of Mr. W. Cowlin, grocer, of Brea, took place on Sunday. The body was taken in a hearse to the Friends' burying ground at Redruth, several carriages following. Notwithstanding a heavy downpour of rain, there was a good attendance at the funeral, including several of the Tangye family. The service was conducted by Miss Hall.
