DEATH OF VETERAN WESLEYAN.
MR. JOHN HAMBLY, ILLOGAN HIGHWAY.
Through the death of Mr. John Hambly, Illogan Highway has lost one of its most respected and oldest sons. Just over 80 years of age, Mr. Hambly was for more than 70 years a stalwart member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, and did much towards the building up of a strong and successful cause. He took a keen interest in the work of the Sunday School, and was a class leader for a great number of years, and took an active interest in the welfare of the members of classes that he led. He was the oldest member of the Wesley Church, and he unlocked the door at the re-opening services of the church recently. He then seemed quite well, but later contracted influenza, to which he succumbed . He leaves three daughters and two sons.....
