In 1861 James Richards, aged 41, born in Illogan, inn keeper, and wife Kitty Richards, aged 36, born in Redruth Cornwall, were living in Railway Hotel, Camborne, Cornwall. With them was son James (2) of Illogan.
At the time of the 1871 UK Census, James Richards was abroad. Wife Kitty Richards, aged 46, born in Redruth, married, and son James, aged 12, born in Illogan, were in Basset Street, Camborne.
