In 1851 William Trewhella, aged 37, born in Lelant Cornwall, unmarried, farmer of 36 acres, was living in Trevaylor, Gulval. With him were sister Catherine Trewhella (37) of Lelant, housekeeper, visitor Mary Uren (14) of Lelant, daughter of a farmer, William Rosewarn (24), farm labourer, William Warren (13) of St. Buryan, farm labourer.

In 1861 William Trewalla, aged 48, born in Lelant, unmarried, farmer of 60 acres employing 2 labourers, was living in Gulval.

In April 1870 William Trewhella of the parish of Gulval, farmer, was sole executor of the will of his brother Christopher Trewhella of Uny Lelant.
