In his father's Will (written 1834) Edward Bawden was bequeathed his father's two horses, his best cart and wheels with the harnesses for the two horses, and was appointed co-executor of his Will (1835).
In 1841, Edward Bawden (25), yeoman, was living in Lower Grilles, Illogan. With him were [brother] Henry Bawden (22), copper miner, servant Prudance Martin 30).
In 1851, Edward Bawden (40) of Camborne, unmarried, farmer of 35 acres employing 1 outdoor labourer & 1 house servant (Prudance Martin), was living in Lower Grilles, Illogan.
In 1861, Edward Bawden (48) of Camborne, unmarried, farmer of 30 acres employing 2 boys, was living in Grillis, Illogan. Present was general servant Prudence Martin (50) of Camborne, unmarried.
In 1871, Edward Bawden (60) of Camborne, unmarried, farming 50 acres employing 1 man & 2 boys, was living in Grillis, Illogan. Present were general servants Prudence Martin (60) of Camborne, Mary Oats (20) of Camborne, and nephew Henry Bawden* (25) of Illogan, visitor.
* Henry was son of Edward's brother Henry.
