In 1836 Thomas Eaton was bequeathed £100 in the Will of his uncle Benjamin Eaton of Guestling, blacksmith.

In 1838 Thomas Eaton was a beneficiary of his father's Will.

At the time of the 1851 England Census Thomas Eaton, aged 34, born in Geissling [Guestling] Sussex, carpenter employing 2 men, and wife Ann M, aged 37, born in Hastings Sussex, were living 31 Spring St., Paddington Middlesex. With them were children (born in Paddington): Emily (10), scholar, William (8), scholar, Thomas (5), Lydia (2), and Mary A (2 mo).
