In Jan 1891 Elizabeth Carey was present at the marriage of her brother John Carey to Sarah Louisa Atkins in Birmingham.
At the time of the 1911 England Census Elizabeth Kench, age 38, born in Birmingham Warw. (mother of 8 children, 2 deceased), and husband of 17 years John Kench, age 40, born in Birmingham, anealer, were living at 75 Little King Street, Hockley, Birmingham. With them were children (born in Birmingham): Ernest E (16), labourer, Sophia Elizabeth (14), Blanch Goodman (12), Albert William (9), Harry Lee (5), Walter Cyril (8 months). Also present were [Elizabeth's mother] Sophia Lee (72) of Birmingham, widow, retired, and [Elizabeth's brother] Edward Carey (40) of Birmingham, farmer.
In the 1939 Register Elizabeth Kench (b. 3 Dec 1872), unpaid domestic duties, and husband John Kench (b. 12 Jul 1871), annealer, were living at 50 Kent Street, Birmingham Warwickshire. At the same address was [daughter] Irene E G Kench (b. 4 Jan 1917)....
