Richard Fox the younger son of Richard Fox the elder was bequeathed £100 in the Will of his paternal grandfather John Fox of Rayle (written 1814), along with the dwelling house and meadows in Ventonraise.

In 1851 Richard Fox (59) of Camborne, ag. lab., and wife Mary (45) of Kea, were living in New Row Illogan. With them were children (born in Illogan): Thomas (20), copper miner, Richard (16), tin miner, James (14), tin dresser, Marianne (10), scholar.

Letters of Administration of the personal estate and effects of Richard Fox late of the Parish of Illogan in the County of Cornwall, husbandman, a widower, deceased, who died 20 January 1860 at Illogan aforesaid were granted 26 January 1863 at Bodmin to James Fox of Illogan aforesaid, miner, one of the children of the said deceased, he having been first sworn. ⁴
