In 1851 John Trewartha (43) of Illogan, unmarried, butcher, was with his widowed mother Elizabeth Trescowthick (67) in Illogan, Cornwall.

In 1861 John Trewartha (53) of Illogan, unmarried, butcher, was living at 16 Railway Terrace, Portreath, Illogan. Staying with him were his widowed mother Elizabeth Trescowthick (77) of Illogan, sisters (born in Illogan) Mary Trescowthick (41) and Elizabeth Trescowthick (35), both unmarried.

In 1871 John Trewartha (63) of Illogan, unmarried, butcher, was living in Portreath, Illogan. Present was sister-in-law Mary Trescowthick (51) of Illogan, unmarried, housekeeper.

In 1881 John Trewartha (73) of Illogan, unmarried, retired butcher, was lodging with Thos. Bart in Illogan.
