At the time of the 1871 England Census Mark Hy Drury, aged 36, born in Belgium (British subject), stuff dyer, employing 60 men & 10 boys, and wife Matilda, aged 38, born in Kildwick Yorks, were living in Washer Lane, Skircoat Yorkshire. With them were children (born in Halifax Yorks) Catherine (7), scholar, Mark Edwd. (6), scholar, John Wm. (4), scholar, and brother-in-law Robert Sidgwick (19) of Skipton Yorks, clerk in dyers works.
At the time of the 1881 England Census Mark H.
