At the time of the 1861 England Census Mark Henry Drury, aged 26, born in Belgium (British subject), unmarried, curate of Haley Hill, private secretary, was in Haley Hill, Northowram, Yorkshire.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Mark Hy Drury, aged 36, born in Belgium (British subject), stuff dyer, employing 60 men & 10 boys, and wife Matilda, aged 38, born in Kildwick Yorks, were living in Washer Lane, Skircoat Yorkshire. With them were children (born in Halifax Yorks) Catherine (7), scholar, Mark Edwd. (6), scholar, John Wm. (4), scholar, and brother-in-law Robert Sidgwick (19) of Skipton Yorks, clerk in dyers works.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Mark H. Drury, aged 46, born in Belgium (British subject), stuff merchant, and wife Matilda, aged 47, born in Kildwick Yorks, were living at 24 Monmouth Rd., Paddington St. John London. Present were sons Mark E. (16) of Halifax, scholar, and John W. (14) of Halifax, scholar.

With them were daughter Catherine (27) of Halifax Yorks, son John W. (24) of Halifax, and nephew William B. Drury (15) of Queensland, naval cadet, R. Navy.
