In May 1828 Thomas Jenkins was present at the marriage of his sister Margaret Jenkins to Evan Jenkins in Cadoxton.
In 1851 Thomas Jenkins, aged 46, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan, married, freeholder of 13 acres, was in Cadoxton-juxta-Barry Glamorgan. With him were father Thomas Jenkins (77) of Cadoxton, widower, freeholder of houses, and niece Margred Jenkins (22) of Cadoxton, unmarried, servant.
In 1861 Thomas Jenkins, aged 56, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan, farmer of 13 acres freehold property, and wife Elizabeth, aged 49, born in Cadoxton, were living in Cadoxton-juxta-Barry Glamorgan. With them were sons (born in Cadoxton) Eli (9), scholar, and Oliver (6), scholar.
In 1871 Thomas Jenkins, aged 66, born in St. Andrews Glamorganshire, owner & occupier of 8 acres of land, and wife Elizabeth, aged 59, born in Cadoxton Glamorgan, were living in New House, Cadoxton. With them was son Oliver (16) of Cadoxton, scholar.
In 1881 Thomas Jenkins, aged 76, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan, farmer of 14 acres & butcher, and wife Elizabeth, aged 69, born in Cadoxton Glamorgan, were living in New House, Cadoxton. With them was son Oliver (26) of Cadoxton, unmarried, clerk to school board.
In 1891 Thomas Jenkins, aged 86, born in St. Andrews Glamorgan, widower, was with his son Oliver Jenkins and his family in New House, Cadoxton Glamorgan.

FUNERAL OF MR THOMAS JENKINS, CADOXTON.
On Wednesday the funeral of Mr Thomas Jenkins, of New House, Cadoxton-Barry, who died at the advanced age of 94 years, took place, when his remains were interred in the Parish Churchyard. Deceased was the oldest inhabitant of the village, where he was one of the founders of the Wesleyan cause 75 years ago. A service was held at the Wesleyan Chapel prior to the departure for the churchyard, when the Rev. J. Jenkins, circuit superintendent; Rev. W. Sarginson, and Mr. F. J. Beavan, Cardiff, officiated. Among those present were Dr. Treharne, J.P., Councillors J. H. Jose and E. B. Smith-Jones, and members of other public bodies. Deceased was a retired farmer and was greatly respected in the neighbourhood.
