At the time of the 1911 England Census Norman David Swayne Straton, aged 21, single, born in Wilton Wiltshire, dental student at Royal Dental Hospital London, was boarding at Delamare Terrace, Paddington London.
In April 1914 Norman Straton was present at the married of his brother Alexander Walter Keith Straton to Hilda Grace Garrett in Paddington London.

DEATH OF MR. N. D. S. STRATON.
Mr. Norman David Swayne Straton died on January 20. He was born at Wilton Wilts, the youngest son of the late Dr. Charles R. Straton, and was educated at Blundells School, Devon.
He served during World War I in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry and the Royal Army Medical Corps and in 1918 married Therese, only daughter of Emile Rohl.
From 1919 to 1926 he practised at Reading, where he held several public appointments. From 1926 to 1958 he practised in Nassau, Bahamas, returning to England to practise in Midsomer Norton, from 1958 until his sudden death.
He leaves a widow and two daughters, Joan and Coralie, and one grandson, Jeffery. His only son, Peter David Straton, was killed in June, 1943, while flying with R.A.F. Bomber Command.
