  Research Notes:

Abstract of the Will of William Griffith of Mochras in the Parish of Llanbeder, Gentleman, written 28 Mar 1821, proved 17 Sep 1821. 3

- gives and devises to his wife Catharine Francis, his son Griffith Griffiths and his daughter Lowry Griffiths all his freehold messuage and tenement with appurtenances in Llanbeder, called Bryn y Iwch, Tydyn Du and Gwyn fryn.

- gives and bequeaths to his eldest daughter Gwen Griffiths the sum of 300 pounds to be paid to her at the age of eighteen years

- all the rest and residue of his personal effects &c. he gives and bequeaths to wife Catharine Francis, son Griffith Griffiths and daughter Lowry Griffiths, whom he also appoints as co-executors of his last Will and Testament.

- ordains and appoints his trusty friends Griffith Griffiths of Tyddyn y felin and David Lloyd of Rhos-igol as Trustees of his last Will and Testament.

William married Anne Lloyd, daughter of John Lloyd of Dinas Boch-y-llyn and Jane Humphreys, on 25 Oct 1800 in Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales. (Anne Lloyd was born in 1778 and was buried on 2 Sep 1809 in Llanfair Juxta Harlech, Merioneth, Wales.)

  Marriage Notes:

William Griffith of the Parish of Llanfair, Bachelor, and Anne Lloyd of this Parish, Spinster, were married in this Church by Licence, by me William Jones, Curate.

  Marriage Information:

William also married Catherine Evans, daughter of Francis Evans of Mochras and Lowry, on 24 Apr 1811 in Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales. (Catherine Evans was christened on 27 Sep 1790 in Llanfihangel y Traethau, Merioneth, Wales and died in 1835 in Mochras, Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales.)
